Basketball Game Preview: Aurora Christian Eagles vs. Yorkville Christian Mustangs

The Aurora Christian Eagles will face off against the Yorkville Christian Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Aurora Christian is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since December 21, 2024 on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Leland 71-37. The Eagles pushed the score to 62-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Yorkville Christian rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They breezed past the Bobcats to the tune of 86-47. Another player making a difference was Jayden Riley, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 assists.

Yorkville Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They are 20-7 when they've passed the ball that well.

Yorkville Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.
