Softball Preview: Paris Eagles vs. Hackett Hornets
The Paris Eagles will take on the Hackett Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Paris is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
On Thursday, Paris didn't have quite enough to beat Mansfield and fell 3-2.
Meanwhile, Hackett gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Westside by a score of 8-3.
Kassitey Hill was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Michaelyn Freeman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hackett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westside only managed six.
Hackett's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Paris, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
