Volleyball Game Preview: Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs vs. Shelbyville Dragons

The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Shelbyville Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Corrigan-Camden is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Groveton just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Indians.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Shelbyville got the win against Hemphill on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Shelbyville's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hemphill to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-21, 25-20.

Corrigan-Camden's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-12. As for Shelbyville, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-14.

Corrigan-Camden couldn't quite get it done against Shelbyville when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
