Recap: Hamilton Wildcats vs. Memphis Business Academy Execs
The Hamilton Wildcats suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Memphis Business Academy 74-37. Hamilton was down 58-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Jackson, who scored ten points. Marcellas Dobbs was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Hamilton struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Memphis Business Academy posted 15 assists.
Memphis Business Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Teryck White out in front who scored 27 points. White is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay'lon Hopson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Memphis Business Academy, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against White Station at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. White Station is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Memphis Business Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Kirby at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kirby knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Memphis Business Academy likes a good challenge.
