Volleyball Recap: Greenway Comes Up Short

If Greenway was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mesabi East last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled against the Thunderhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Greenway's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Grand Rapids, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Greenway and Grand Rapids should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Raiders (ranked 105th) will meet Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] (ranked 251st) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Grand Rapids will face off against Superior at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (56 vs. 234).
