Volleyball Recap: Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Takes a Loss

The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons lost 3-0 to the Bishop Stang Spartans on Saturday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Dighton-Rehoboth Regional was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Stang to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maggie Martin, who had 13 digs, 11 kills, and four aces. That's the most aces Martin has posted since back in September of 2024. Anna Higgins was another key player, getting 19 digs and two aces.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bishop Stang, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Old Rochester Regional on the 6th. As for Bishop Stang, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Middleborough on the 6th.
