Fans were treated to a Battle of the Eagles on Saturday. Lubbock Christian took their matchup with ease, bagging a 69-32 win over Trinity Christian. Lubbock Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Midland Classical Academy didn't have too much trouble with Lake Country Christian on Friday as they won 58-44.

Lubbock Christian better focus on containing Mariah Davis and Addie Dunn as the pair were huge in Midland Classical Academy's win. Davis went 8 of 16 on her way to 23 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals, while Dunn almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dunn has scored at least a third of Midland Classical Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Sherrill, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Midland Classical Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Lubbock Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 24-8.

Lubbock Christian took their win against Midland Classical Academy in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 66-42. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Davis, who went 9 for 20 to rack up 22 points.
