Basketball Game Preview: Briarfield Academy Rebels vs. Central School Pioneers

The Briarfield Academy Rebels will square off against the Central School Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central School took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Briarfield Academy, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Briarfield Academy humbled Union Christian Academy with a 55-21 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Central School had to suffer through a 48-18 loss at the hands of Claiborne Academy. The Pioneers have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Central School's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Briarfield Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Everything came up roses for Briarfield Academy against Central School in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 49-8 win. Will Briarfield Academy repeat their success, or does Central School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
