Softball Recap: Central of Coosa County Comes Up Short

Central of Coosa County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the Isabella Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 22-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Central of Coosa County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Isabella, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4.

Central of Coosa County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Verbena at 1:00 p.m. on April 4th. After both having extra time off, Isabella and Maplesville will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. Maplesville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.73 runs per game on average), something Isabella will no doubt try to take advantage of.
