Pymatuning Valley won the last time they faced Lordstown and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over the Red Devils. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Mackenzie Kribbs made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Lordstown, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, Pymatuning Valley will venture away from home to take on St. John at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lordstown, they will welcome Newton Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
