Nathan Hale extended their winning streak to five on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 12-9-1 in the process. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cedarcrest Red Wolves 7-5. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Red Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

As for Cedarcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since May 2, 2024.

For Cedarcrest's part, they got a good showing from Colt Norris, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

At the plate, Cedarcrest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Logan Pfister was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.
