Volleyball Recap: Weaver Comes Up Short

Weaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Palm Valley FIREBIRDS, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the FIREBIRDS this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-7.

Leading Palm Valley to victory were Olivia Puetz and Leah Ferreira. Puetz had six aces, while Ferreira had five aces. Those six aces gave Puetz a new career-high.

Weaver's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Palm Valley, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Weaver will take on rival Joshua Springs Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Palm Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Desert Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
