The Sturgeon Bulldogs lost to the Pilot Grove Tigers at home by a 70-55 margin on Thursday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sturgeon's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Pilot Grove, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Sturgeon will take on Harrisburg in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pilot Grove, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stover at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
