Newport Harbor saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 72-36 win over the Live Oak Acorns. The Sailors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Several Acorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon DeHaro, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Omron, who put up seven points.

Newport Harbor's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Live Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Newport Harbor won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mission Viejo at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Newport Harbor has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three matches. As for Live Oak, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Tustin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
