The Ferndale Golden Eagles will challenge the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferndale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Oak Harbor hit Ferndale with a four-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Eagles lost 7-1 to the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Golden Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ferndale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Swan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Trojans 24-3.

Burlington-Edison's win bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Ferndale, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7.
