Football Recap: Coventry Comes Up Short

Coventry fell victim to Ravenna and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 41-0 defeat at the hands of the Ravens. The Comets were not able to make up for their loss to the Ravens from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Coventry dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ravenna, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Coventry will square off against Norton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Ravenna, they will challenge Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ravens will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.44 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
