Preview: Flora Wolves vs. Hamilton County Foxes
Flora is 0-4 against Hamilton County since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Flora Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Hamilton County Foxes at 6:00 p.m. Flora comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Monday, Flora took a serious blow against Mt. Carmel, falling 61-28. Flora was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-11.
Meanwhile, Hamilton County lost to Carmi-White County on the road by a decisive 57-43 margin on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Hamilton County had strong showings from Rayci Phelps, who scored 15 points, and Peyton Harmon, who scored 12 points. The match was Phelps' sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Altamont's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Flora's defeat dropped theirs to 0-4.
Flora couldn't quite finish off Hamilton County when the teams last played back in January and fell 38-36. Can Flora avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
