Volleyball Recap: Newtown Wins High-Profile Game Against Kolbe-Cathedral

Newtown faced Kolbe-Cathedral in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Nighthawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Nighthawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won nine in a row.

Newtown walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 15-25, 25-13.

Leading Newtown to victory were Eli Sullivan and Kade Deraney. Sullivan had 24 digs and one assist, while Deraney had 13 digs and one block. Sullivan has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times he's played.
