Softball Game Preview: Palisades Pumas vs. Stuart W. Cramer Storm

The Palisades Pumas will challenge the Stuart W. Cramer Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Palisades has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Palisades is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Porter Ridge on Friday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 12-2.

Mariah Rushin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Stuart W. Cramer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Forestview.

Stuart W. Cramer saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Martin, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Martin a new career-high. Megan Merritt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Palisades has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. Stuart W. Cramer's loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
