Baseball Recap: West Covina Takes a Loss

The West Covina Bulldogs came up short against the Monrovia Wildcats on Monday and fell 10-6.

Max Murillo and Marciano Ramirez did some serious damage despite the final result: Murillo scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Ramirez scored a run while going 2-for-3. Ramirez also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Griffey Moncada, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

West Covina's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Monrovia, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

West Covina wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against Montebello on the 26th. As for Monrovia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against La Canada on the 27th.
