Chapel Hill won the last time they faced Riverside-Durham and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 35-2 victory over the Pirates. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Chapel Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Samuel Zimmermann out in front who threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 41 yards. Zimmermann's passing game has become a key predictor of the Tigers' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Chapel Hill's run defense was locked in: Riverside-Durham could only muster 1.2 yards per carry. While three picked up at least four total tackles, Christian Brooks-Mcmillan stood above the rest. He picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss). Chapel Hill's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.

Chapel Hill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games. As for Riverside-Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
