Basketball Recap: Riverton Comes Up Short

Riverton played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Kelly Walsh Trojans 74-39. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Riverton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gage Treber, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Cox, who earned six points.

Kelly Walsh got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Eager out in front who shot 64% from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. What's more, Eager also posted a 62% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Carter Alvar, who had ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Riverton has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Kelly Walsh, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
