Softball Recap: Grosse Pointe South Takes a Loss

Grosse Pointe South has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.79 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Port Huron Northern Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 two weeks ago.

Grosse Pointe South's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Port Huron Northern, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season.

Grosse Pointe South didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-3 victory against New Haven on the 20th. As for Port Huron Northern, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-1 win against L'Anse Creuse on the 20th.
