Basketball Game Preview: Woodbridge Warriors vs. Laguna Beach Breakers

The Woodbridge Warriors will take on the Laguna Beach Breakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Woodbridge didn't have quite enough to beat Northwood and fell 60-57. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, Laguna Beach didn't have too much trouble with St. Margaret's on Thursday as they won 69-53.

Laguna Beach's win came from a few key players Woodbridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Azadian, who posted 14 points. Ryan Cheng was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Woodbridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Laguna Beach, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15.

Woodbridge skirted past Laguna Beach 65-63 in their previous matchup back in December of 2016. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Laguna Beach's Blake Burzell, who scored 25 points.
