Basketball Recap: Star International Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Manoogian last Tuesday, Star International Academy came back down to earth. The Star International Academy Falcons came up short against Center Line Prep on Thursday, falling 66-40. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with Center Line Prep: they've now lost three in a row.

Star International Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Center Line Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Star International Academy will square off against Michigan Math & Science at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Michigan Math & Science knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Star International Academy likes a good challenge. As for Center Line Prep, they will face off against Taylor Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
