Softball Recap: Addison Forsythe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Riverdale

Dunlap had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Riverdale Rams a 5-0 shutout. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Sutton Centoni's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks.

At the plate, Dunlap saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Forsythe, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Hannah Parker was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Riverdale fell to 4-1.

Dunlap has already played their next game (against Waterloo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverdale, they are taking a road trip to challenge Alleman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
