After flying high against Eagle Mountain on Thursday, Southlake Carroll came back down to earth. The Southlake Carroll Dragons lost 12-5 to the Dripping Springs Tigers on Friday. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Scarlett Kuhn led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run. Sammy Petkus also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Southlake Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Dripping Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season.

Southlake Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 win against King on the 28th. As for Dripping Springs, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dripping Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
