If McKinleyville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Arcata, they should've done a better job of containing Luke Lemke. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Panthers 62-34 thanks in part to Lemke, who rushed for 431 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 18.7 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, McKinleyville still got an impressive performance from Thomas Brown, who rushed for 368 yards and four scores while picking up 15.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.

Arcata's record now sits at 2-3. As for McKinleyville, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Arcata will host Hoopa Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for McKinleyville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ferndale at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
