Basketball Recap: Drew's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Drew unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 80-68 to the Midtown Knights. While losing is never fun, Drew can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Midtown is ranked 105th).

Drew lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ricky Moon, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Moon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Angel Turtle Arzuaga, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points and six steals.

Haiden Evans had a dynamite game for Midtown, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Dhati Lewis was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Drew's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12. As for Midtown, they moved to 15-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Drew nor Midtown have any future games scheduled.
