Soccer Recap: Marvin Ridge Falls Short Against Ranked Ardrey Kell

On Tuesday, Marvin Ridge faced Ardrey Kell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Marvin Ridge Mavericks fell just short of the Ardrey Kell Knights by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Mavericks' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Lucy Chin, who's now up to four this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marvin Ridge fell to 4-1-1. As for Ardrey Kell, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-2.

Looking ahead, Marvin Ridge will venture away from home to take on Charlotte Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Charlotte Latin will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Marvin Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ardrey Kell, they will be playing at home against Ashley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ardrey Kell's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
