It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ridge View Blazers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Red Foxes. Winning may never get old, but Ridge View sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridge View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Destiny Drakeford, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Simone Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Hartsville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaz Reyes, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reyes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Fisher, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Ridge View's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Hartsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

Ridge View will head out on the road to challenge Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bluffton will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Ridge View surely won't give up without a fight. Hartsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
