Recap: Niagara Falls Wolverines vs. Nichols Vikings
The Niagara Falls Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Nichols out 75-72. The win was just what Niagara Falls needed coming off of a 81-51 loss in their prior contest.
Nichols lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Parker Rey, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Hezzy Hall, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Niagara Falls' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Nichols, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Niagara Falls will be home for the holidays to greet Olympic at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Olympic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 445th in North Carolina, while Niagara Falls is ranked 194th in New York). As for Nichols, they will head out on the road to face off against Amherst Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
