Football Game Preview: Anzar Hawks vs. Trinity Christian Warriors + Official Tickets

The Anzar Hawks will take on the Trinity Christian Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Anzar's defense has only allowed 6.5 points per game this season, so Trinity Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Anzar made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Crystal Springs Uplands, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks fell just short of the Gryphons by a score of 14-12 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, the Hawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian). They breezed past Hillbrook to the tune of 62-18 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Anzar better keep an eye on Brady Ramones. He was instrumental in Trinity Christian's win, rushing for 246 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries, while also picking up 100 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 100 receiving yards gave Ramones a new career-high. Daniel Dirkes was another key player, throwing for 136 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Trinity Christian's run defense was locked in: Hillbrook could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. The Warriors didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 16.2.

Anzar's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Trinity Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Things could have been worse for Anzar, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-26 loss to Trinity Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024.
