Soccer Game Preview: Long Beach vs. Stone

The Long Beach Bearcats will head out on the road to take on the Stone Tomcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Long Beach will be strutting in after a victory while Stone will be coming in after a loss.

Long Beach's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Poplarville 5-0. Long Beach haven't had any issues with Poplarville recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Braiden Bonds and Clayton Smith scored all five of Long Beach's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stone's offense. They came up short against Gulfport on Tuesday, falling 5-0. The defeat continues a trend for Stone in their meetings with Gulfport: they've now lost five in a row.

Long Beach picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Stone, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
