After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Poinsett County, Rector was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Manila Lions 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since December 27, 2024.

Rector is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. As for Manila, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
