Basketball Recap: Iva Wilson and Kari Gantz Secure Win for Calvary Christian

Calvary Christian fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They secured a 31-26 W over the Christian Academy Eagles on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-42 defeat.

Leading Calvary Christian to victory were Kari Gantz and Iva Wilson. Gantz almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Wilson posted ten points. That's the most boards Gantz has posted since back in December of 2023.

Calvary Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Calvary Christian's record now sits at 2-12. As for Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-1 record.

Calvary Christian has already played their next game, a 46-21 defeat against Upper Scioto Valley on the 30th. Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
