Leonard had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Santaluces Chiefs on Wednesday as the Leonard Lancers made off with a 15-5 victory. Leonard's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last five games.
Yanina Varela was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.
