There's no place like home for the Pendleton Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against Prince Avenue Christian on Tuesday as Pendleton made off with a 60-40 victory. That looming 60-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Pendleton yet this season.
Pendleton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Gray led the charge by scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gray has scored at least 25% of Pendleton's points. Another player making a difference was Kory Jones, who scored 18 points.
The win got Pendleton back to even at 5-5. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pendleton will face off against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Prince Avenue Christian will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Hart County at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th.
