Baseball Preview: Scott County Cardinals vs. Bryan Station Defenders

Asher Harrington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Luke Valencia was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played. Meanwhile, Bryan Station was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of George Rogers Clark.

Trenton Cutwright made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.

Scott County's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Bryan Station, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
