Life Waxahachie is 3-0 against Athens since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Life Waxahachie Mustangs will welcome the Athens Hornets at 1:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Life Waxahachie comes in on 11 and Athens on six.

If Life Waxahachie beats Athens with 76 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 76-44 stomp they got against Rivercrest. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Athens). They took down Kemp 91-73 on Tuesday.

Life Waxahachie has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Athens, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
