Soccer Game Preview: Le Grand vs. Stone Ridge Christian

The Le Grand Bulldogs will head out to take on the Stone Ridge Christian Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Stone Ridge Christian will have to contend with a Le Grand squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen yet this season. Le Grand fell just short of Mariposa County by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Esteban Lua and Jorge Diaz scored both of Le Grand's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Stone Ridge Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of River Islands.

Le Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Stone Ridge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Le Grand's way against Stone Ridge Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Le Grand made off with a 13-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Le Grand since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
