Softball Recap: Mt. Gilead's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Mt. Gilead can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Neither they nor the East Knox Bulldogs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 5-5 tie.

Anavey Jodrey spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 14 Ks.

Mt. Gilead's draw gives them a new season record of 3-11-1. As for East Knox, they moved theirs to 1-10-1.

Mt. Gilead has already played their next contest, an 18-0 defeat against Cardington-Lincoln on the 28th. As for East Knox, they will square off against Danville at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
