Volleyball Recap: Clinton Cardinals vs. Odessa Bulldogs
Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Odessa Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-13.
Odessa found their leader in underclassman Maddie Breitling, who had 11 digs and three aces.
Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Odessa, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.
Clinton will square off against Butler at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Odessa, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Pleasant Hill at 6:30 p.m. Pleasant Hill will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Odessa surely won't give up without a fight.
