Softball Game Preview: Spring-Ford Rams vs. Perkiomen Valley Vikings

The Spring-Ford Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Perkiomen Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Spring-Ford sitting on three straight wins and Perkiomen Valley on five.

Spring-Ford's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Phoenixville by a score of 5-0.

Meanwhile, Perkiomen Valley earned a 7-4 victory over Pope John Paul II on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Olivia Sharkey, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jacqueline Miceli also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Perkiomen Valley now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Spring-Ford, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Spring-Ford skirted past Perkiomen Valley 14-13 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
