Soccer Recap: Woodruff Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brashier Middle College Charter, Woodruff was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Clinton Red Devils with a sharp 7-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wolverines' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Clinton from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Peyton Cox led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Woodruff's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Clinton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Woodruff and Clinton will both be playing Union County the next time they take the pitch. Clinton will host Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Woodruff will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
