Basketball Recap: East Carteret Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Carteret extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-4. They had to suffer through a 51-13 loss at the hands of the Croatan Cougars. The contest marked the Mariners' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, East Carteret still got an impressive performance from Emani Dawson, who posted six points.

As for Croatan, they now have a winning record of 3-2. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Croatan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neely McMannen, who put up 12 points and three steals. McMannen is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Landry Clifton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Coming up, East Carteret will square off against West Craven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Croatan, they will head out to face off against Cape Hatteras at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
