Soccer Recap: Ashe County Takes a Loss

Ashe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Hibriten Panthers. While losing is never fun, Ashe County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Hibriten are ranked 73rd).

Ashe County's goal came courtesy of Takala Barnes, who's now up to 15 this season.

Ashe County's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Hibriten, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4-2.

Ashe County has already played their next matchup (against Freedom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hibriten, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Watauga on the 1st.
