Volleyball Recap: St. Catherine's Comes Up Short

St. Catherine and Bishop O'Connell squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but St. Catherine's had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

While St. Catherine's ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 17-25, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why St. Catherine's lost, don't look at Bailey Loving. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and four assists.

St. Catherine's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Bishop O'Connell, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.

St. Catherine's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop O'Connell, they will take on Flint Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
