Basketball Recap: Norwalk Takes a Loss

Norwalk lost against Bellevue back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Norwalk Truckers fell 49-41 to the Bellevue Redmen. While losing is never fun, the Truckers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Redmen are ranked 197th).

This is the second loss in a row for Norwalk and nudges their season record down to 7-12. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Bellevue, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Norwalk won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Olmsted Falls at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bellevue, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Oak Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
