Recap: Seton Catholic Sentinels vs. St. Mary's Knights
After flying high against the Marcos de Niza Padres last Tuesday, the Seton Catholic Sentinels came back down to earth. Seton Catholic took a 77-60 bruising from St. Mary on Thursday. Seton Catholic has not had much luck with St. Mary's recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Seton Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Padilla, who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Kj Fauske, who scored 17 points.
Seton Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for St. Mary's, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
Seton Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Arcadia and Seton Catholic are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. St. Mary's won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Saguaro at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Saguaro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Tuesday.
